Tuition Details
Full tuition information can be found on the Student Services Website:
Actual tuition will depend on several factors, including:
- The number of credit hours taken during an academic term
- When you take a course
- The length of time it takes to complete your degree
Fees
Overall fees are expected to slightly increase each year (mandated by legislature or university). A typical increase is 3 percent.
If you are a US citizen who is not a North Carolina resident, your fees will likely decrease your second year once you qualify for in-state residency.
MM Bootcamp
To ensure student success and proficiency with the basic mathematical and analytical skills the program requires, students complete a self-paced, virtual bootcamp at the start of the program. The bootcamp fee is $100.
NOTE: The bootcamp will be required for all students starting in the spring 2025 semester.
Residency Status
Applicants to NC State typically have their initial tuition residency status determined based on responses they provide as part of their application to the program. More information about residency status may be found on The Graduate School website.
Loans
There are many loan programs available to students, including long-term and low-interest federal loans. Eligible students must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident and enrolled in a minimum of 4.5 credit hours per semester.
