About Master of Management, Risk and Analytics (MRA)
What is a Master of Management degree?
Unlike MBA programs, which provide a broader, more comprehensive foundation in business and leadership, our Master of Management, Risk and Analytics (MRA) program is designed to allow students to dive into their graduate studies with a more defined focus. The curriculum is heavily geared towards coursework in risk management and analytics, helping students develop a strong and unique skill set that is in high demand among employers. Earning a degree through our Master of Management, Risk and Analytics program is comparable to earning a degree through other types of specialized master’s degree programs — although there are no other programs as uniquely focused on risk management and analytics, nor with the same degree of faculty expertise as our program.
Why Risk and Analytics?
In recent years, companies have shifted towards integrating risk management into their strategic planning efforts, departing from traditional practices where risk was primarily handled by legal, audit, and compliance departments. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated this shift, highlighting the need to evaluate risk in the context of strategic goals. Businesses now understand the importance of prioritizing proactive risk management over reactive approaches. This shift has made skills in risk assessment and analytics valuable across various career paths.
