Even with its flexible online format, the Master of Management, Risk and Analytics (MRA) provides numerous opportunities for students to enrich their educational and professional journeys through a variety of optional growth activities.

More Than an Online Program  

The Risk and Analytics program provides students with several opportunities to get the most out of their student experience — from study abroad courses to certificates, dual degree and leadership opportunities.

1. Take Courses Abroad   

NC State provides all Jenkins Graduate Program students with opportunities to experience business and culture outside of the United States while earning course credit.

Switzerland: Organizational Resiliency in Zurich

Jenkins students can spend the week in Geneva and Zurich examining various organizations that play a key role in assessing and monitoring risk and how major corporations manage risk and remain resilient. 

MRA students can complete this course to fulfill elective requirements.

Learn about the importance and presence of sustainability in business in one of the most biodiverse countries in the world! Enjoy an unforgettable week in beautiful Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro while completing coursework for MBA 590.

2. Earn Certificates  

Students enrolled in the Master of Management, Risk and Analytics (MRA) are eligible to earn a certificate in one of seven specialized areas. MRA students are most commonly interested in the business analytics certificate. Credit hours completed towards certificates may count toward the Master of Management curriculum when applicable.

The business analytics certificate helps to develop management professionals who can understand and apply big data analysis to make meaningful decisions. 

Business Sustainability Certificate

The business sustainability certificate program will teach you how sustainable business strategies are used as drivers for innovation, collaboration and transformation.

3. Complete Dual Degrees

Dual degree programs enable students to pursue two fields of study, earning a degree in both programs while expanding their network and employment potential. Students in the MRA program are most commonly interested in doing a dual degree with the Jenkins MBA program.
