Research Interests

For more than 25 years, my research has focused on data privacy and security from several different perspectives: supply chain, data management, consumer values, policy, software and legal frameworks. Additionally, I have also explored the application of AI tools in various domains.

Experience With Industry

My teaching centers on data privacy and cybersecurity, with a strong emphasis on the intersection of technical expertise and risk management. Through my work with business executives, I’ve seen firsthand the growing demand for professionals who not only understand cyber threats but can also effectively manage risk. In my class, students gain a deep understanding of both technical cybersecurity challenges and risk mitigation strategies. This combination of technical skills and risk management knowledge equips students to tackle the evolving security needs of modern organizations.

In today’s data-driven world, the ability to manage risk and leverage analytics is crucial. Those who do so effectively are better equipped to address emerging threats, whether from cybersecurity vulnerabilities, market uncertainties, or operational challenges. As a cybersecurity professor, I emphasize that a risk-based mindset not only helps protect critical infrastructure but also strengthens decision-making and resilience in the face of constantly evolving digital threats.
